Does anyone else do stupid shit with their kids?
I was taking a co-worker home the other day, and had the boys with me. As usual, we do things a little different in Colorado. It was a beautiful day, so we all rolled our windows down and enjoyed the fresh air.
As we drove along one of the main arteries of Pueblo, if you can really call the streets here that, my 8 year old saw someone on the sidewalk that we were ready to pass. As we were within earshot of this pedestrian, my son gave out an earsplitting scream that only an 8 year old boy can! I don't know who jumped more, the guy on the sidewalk, or my co-worker sitting in the passenger seat right in front of my son.
My sons and I were laughing our asses off, while my co-worker checked his pants. We must have passed 15 more people on the sidewalks until we got to this guys house, screaming and yelling at everyone. He got out and told me "never again will I ride in a car with you and your kids, PSYCHO!!!!!
I saw the co-worker the next day, and he proceeded to describe the frightful trip home from the night before to everyone else in the bank. He made it sound as if this was something that no one else does???? I think it is normal, in fact I have been doing it for years and found it very entertaining. Nothing like causing an old woman to have a heart attack and die. It saves us all some money, and probably gives her kids some money in the will.
As I said, I have been doing this for years, and can only think of a couple of drawbacks.
1) You are laughing so hard that you can't steer the vehicle, drive off the road into a ditch. (Only happened a couple of times, and the dog was really old to begin with)
2) After the person picks themselves up off of the ground, they run over to your vehicle at the stoplight that changed and you couldn't make it through, and tries to beat the crap out of you. (Never happens, I am the brother of Irondog)
So I ask all of you, is this a strange form of entertainment, that no one else practices, or is my co-worker right that I am really a nut?
